Two shopkeepers of honey

Thursday, 31 January 2013

Once upon a time, there lived a lady who was in the profession of selling honey. Her attitude of speaking towards her customers was very nice. Her shop always remained filled with people. She always used to greet her customers happily. Due to this, her customers always used to come to her shop for buying honey. Her customers were also her brand ambassadors, and her popularity was continuously increasing with each passing day.

One cunning businessman saw that there has been no competition to the lady and she is having a huge profit with the business of honey. He decided that he would also sell honey and make huge profits. However, he was extremely rude in his attitude. The businessman opened the shop but his attitude remained rude and rough towards the customers. Due to his behavior, nobody was interested to come to his shop (even the bees had stopped coming to his shop!!). Seeing the attitude of the man, a lady told his husband, "His bitter tongue has made his life and honey bitter." The businessman heard this and asked the lady, "What do you mean by this non-sense?"

The lady replied, "Do you know there is a lady at some distance who also sells honey!! There is always crowd in her shop. Do you know the reason? Do you think its only because she sells honey? No, it is because her voice is sweet and attractive to hear. She always welcomes her customers generously. Everybody likes her not only because of her business, but because she is a happy citizen of the planet and spreads happiness and smiles." The businessman felt embarrassed and he decided to change his attitude towards others. From that time onward, the businessman started welcoming all his customers happily, and his business also started growing.
