Once there lived a boy in a village. He used to sell various hand-made toys in order to earn money for his school fees. However, on one fateful day, he could not sell any toy and he started feeling very sad and hungry by evening. He decided that he would knock the next door and ask for something to eat.
When he knocked the next door, a young beautiful girl opened the door. Seeing the girl, he became nervous and instead of asking for food, asked for a glass of water. The girl understood that boy is hungry. She went inside and brought a big glass full of milk. The boy slowly drank the glass of milk. Then the boy asked, "How much should I pay for the milk?" The girl smiled and said, "My mother taught me to help the needy selflessly. You don't have to pay me anything." The boy's heart filled with gratitude. He thanked her and moved ahead. The boy not only gained physical strength but his belief in God and humanity also became stronger than before.
After few years, the girl acquired high fever. On diagnosis, she was found to be suffering from severe dengue. Local doctors referred her to a big hospital and she got admitted in a big city hospital. A famous doctor named Howard Kelly was called for her treatment. As soon as Howard saw the girl, his eyes got filled with tears. He did the best possible treatment of the girl and she recovered completely. Doctor Howard went to the billing department of hospital and took the bill of girl's treatment. He wrote a note on the top right side of the bill, put it inside an envelope and sent it to the girl.
The girl received the bill nervously. She knew that she might have recovered from the fever, but she would need a lot of money to pay that bill, and she might need to take a loan for that too. However, she opened the envelope of bill and slowly took out the bill. She looked at the billed amount and became extremely worried. Then, suddenly her eyes moved on the note being written on the top corner. It was written, 'Paid in full by the glass of milk.'
